Duffle&Co achieve Net Climate Positive recertification!

'Using business to instigate positive social and environmental change' was a phrase we built into our foundations when Duffle&Co was founded back in 2015. Over the year's we have strived to stay true to that statement, and are proud to announce that we have achieved our recertification as a Net Climate Positive Business Organisation with Ekos.

What does this mean?

Being certified Net Climate Positive shows you that we have measured and offset 120% of our carbon footprint for: direct GHG emissions and removals, indirect GHG emissions from imported energy, heat or steam generated elsewhere, and for indirect GHG emissions from transportation. This is for the year measured 1st April 2021 to 31st March 2022 with certified carbon credits.

In short, it means for our operating activities last year, we have offset total of 18.35 GHG emissions!

These certified carbon credits are sourced from projects that grow and protect forests in New Zealand and the Pacific Islands and help to deliver climate resilience, waterways protection, erosion control, biodiversity conservation and community economic development.

Who are Ekos?

Ekos are our partner that helps develop and supports carbon projects that grow and protect permanent restorative forests in New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. Ekos connects carbon offset buyers with these projects by measuring business and individual carbon footprints, supplying certified forest carbon offsets, and providing carbon certifications (Zero Carbon, Climate Positive, Carbon Footprint Certifications). 

Did you know?

In 2022 (for 2020 - 2021) our total emissions were 27.81 tCO2e. This time around (for 2021 - 2022) we have reduced our emissions by 9.46 tCO2e to 18.35 tCO2e, a decrease of 34.02%!
