This resilient species from Wharekauri / the Chatham Islands has a world-famous conservation story, yet this is the first time it has won the national competition. 

With its likeness drawn by fine artist Georgette Thompson, the Karure also features on the lining of the Dune Duffle. 

The Karure features on a tan leather luggage tag, with a buckled strap that can attach to any travel bag. The luggage tag is made of the offcuts of our high quality smoothgrain leather in our Bali workroom. 

Each tag comes with a signed hangtag by the maker and a QR code tracing its story. 

$20 from the sale of every engraved luggage tag will go straight to Forest & Bird to continue to give nature a voice in Aotearoa New Zealand.
